Biography

I am an epidemiologist and Lecturer at the University of Sydney School of Public Health. I completed my PhD at the University of Sydney in 2020, which focused on understanding the relationship between socioeconomic status and health across the life-course and among people with chronic kidney disease. I received the Peter Bancroft Prize for my PhD work. Prior to my PhD, I completed a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours and a Master of Public Health. I have worked in psychology and public health research, and in 2018 I completed an internship at the World Health Organization where I co-authored a policy publication on the application of the life-course approach to improve health and address health inequities in small countries in Europe. My research focuses on understanding socioeconomic inequalities in health to inform health equity interventions, particularly among young people with chronic kidney disease. I am also interested in improving clinical, cognitive and psychosocial outcomes for people with chronic kidney disease.
