Biography

Being born and raised in the multi-ethnic country of Guatemala inspired me to study population genetics and the many ways variants can affect clinical response and overall quality of life. I have experience working in industries ranging from pharmaceutical drug research and development to oncological clinical studies. A deep passion for teaching and sharing knowledge led me to pursue academics and interdisciplinary collaborations. I find great satisfaction in problem-solving and participating in multidisciplinary endeavors, leading to positive changes within the community through collective efforts.
