Biography
Dr Liliana Romero-Resendiz is an assistant professor at the College of Chemistry of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico) since November 2022. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong, China (2021-2022). She obtained her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering under a project co-guided by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico, and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain (2021). She performed as a lecturer at the Engineering college of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2019). Her research interest includes studying the processing-microstructure-properties relationship of heterostructured and nanostructured alloys with advanced structural performance, as well as developing scalable and low-cost biomaterials for antimicrobial and biomedical implant applications.
