Biography
I am a professor at the New Chemistry Unit at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bangalore. I work at the interfaces of physics and chemistry in the field of nanomaterials. I obtained my doctoral degree at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore and after a couple of postdoctoral stints in the US, about seven years ago I joined the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research. I have received several national awards as a distinguished young scientist. Personally, I come from a family of scientists and I am now, by choice, a single parent.
